Lucas James Vernale Identified As Victim In Saturday Hartford Fatal Crash

The person killed in a deadly car accident in Hartford County on Saturday morning has been named as Lucas James Vernale of Berlin, Connecticut.Early on Saturday morning in Hartford, a two-vehicle collision claimed the life of Vernale, 24.Reports state that around 2:40 a.m. on Saturday, Vernale was driving a Ford Fusion on Capitol Avenue near Laurel Street in Hartford when the Ford Fusion collided with a Nissan Rogue.The rogue driver was only slightly hurt but rejected medical attention when it was offered.Vernale was taken to a local hospital where he was later diagnosed as having suffered blunt force trauma and had died.The accident’s cause is still being looked into.Anyone with potential information about the case is encouraged to contact HPD at 860-722-TIPS (8477).
